Look: I am not typically a fan of this franchise. I have no idea how faithful it was to the original themes of the game. When I watched Sonic the Hedgehog 3, it was for Agent Stone and Agent Stone only. And that's exactly what I got out of it. I also ended up a sobbing mess post movie, crying to my boyfriend, "They killed that little girl!" because, well, that's a crucial element of Shadow's backstory that was only mildly toned down by the USA military's stranglehold on the movie industry.

It was pretty obviously an adapted TV series, but Moana 2 was still an enjoyable movie. I have no further thoughts about it!

While I had some problems with the anthropomorphization of what were clearly still supposed to be wild animals, I did like the Wild Robot for the story it told! I've been told the book is better, so maybe I'll read that one day…

I got an early access ticket to Transformers One, and had a great time with it! While I'm a fan of redemption arcs, it was also really fun to see the reverse portrayed; a character falling into evil. I'm not, strictly speaking, a Transformers fan, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Inside Out 2 really struck true with what it feels like to be a teenager. In the grand scheme of things, the interpersonal drama of teenagers is not high stakes, and bad experiences can be recovered from in adulthood–but that's not what it feels like, and I think the movie portrayed what it really feels like to be a teenager.

I've always enjoyed stories about imaginary friends, so I wanted to see IF from the first trailer. It was… okay? I think it was straddling the line between a fully kids movie and a fully adult movie, and I do wish it would have chosen one demographic to focus on, instead of trying so hard to appeal equally to both. Overall, I enjoyed it, but it didn't live up to its potential.

This was a weird movie that fully leaned into how weird it was. The Garfield Movie was bizarre, but fun, and had a surprisingly coherent plot considering how weird it was.

Dragonkeeper was not a movie I saw a lot of marketing for, and I didn't know what to expect from it. It wasn't bad! The animation was a little janky in places, but what it lacked in CGI quality it made up with some striking scene composition and design. The ending tied the themes of the movie together in ways I hadn't considered. Overall, I enjoyed it.

I saw Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire on opening Thursday and had a lot of fun. It was extremely silly at times, which is something I personally enjoy but other Godzilla and kaiju fans may not. I enjoyed it, however, I regret to inform my readers that Godzilla and Kong did not have explicit, graphic sex on screen, and therefore I have to rate it 0/10.

I got a pre-screening ticket for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and I enjoyed it. I think it was a decent follow-up to Afterlife, and I liked the new characters they introduced. I am still hoping that they'll bring back the 2016 ladies in one of the new movies, but I'm aware this is unlikely to happen.

Kung Fu Panda 4 was one I was ambivalent about; I thought the plot wrapped up nicely in the previous one, and I was pretty sure no sequel would beat the second movie in quality. But hey, it was a fun movie that I enjoyed! While it mostly felt like it was setting up for sequels, it was solid with stunning animation.

An Illumination movie, Migration was better than I expected. A solid kid's movie. That's basically all I can say for it, it was pretty generic otherwise.

Wish was a celebration of Disney's 100th year as opposed to an actually good movie. It was passable, but mostly existed to have easter eggs for classic movies. I do think the villain was hot, though. sorry
