Plush Toy Collection

These are my plush toys and/or animals. Like most of the pages on this website, this is under construction. I will be researching where these plushes came from (if not handmade) and tracking down the brand/company/etc that produced them. For now, you have my personal stories on how I acquired them.

Unknown Origin

"The Oldies"

Fang
Listed September 24th, 2022

I have had Fang for as long as I can remember. She was my "main" comfort animal after I lost the previous one (Milo, left behind at a restaurant and never recovered).

Pikachu
Listed September 24th, 2022

Pictured here sporting a jacket my mom made for him. I don't remember where I got him, but I've had him for a very long time.

Kacheek
Listed September 24th, 2022

Kacheek may not truly be of unknown origin; I frequented Hot Topic a lot when they were selling Neopets plushes, specifically for the purpose of buying Neopets plushes, and it's likely I got him from there. Kacheek required surgery and skin grafts by my mom after he was left in a lamp and partially melted.

Found & Rescued

"Adopt Don't Shop"

Jay from Ninjago
Listed September 24th, 2022

Jay from Ninjago was named because he has blue eyes and I found him in a junkyard. He is the same kind of plush cat I had as a child, and his tag, though faded, reveals he was also from Toys R Us.

Big Important Friend
Listed September 24th, 2022

I was browsing shopgoodwill dot com when I found BIF (pronounced "beef"). They were listed as handmade, and I fell in love. No idea who originally made them, or if they truly are handmade? Any information would be appreciated once I put my contact info on this site.

Thomasina
Listed September 24th, 2022

Named fairly recently after the titular character in the Three Lives of Thomasina, a movie from the 60s, Thomasina was rescued from being thrown out with many, many other plush toys when I was volunteering at a women's shelter. I got permission to take her home. Because she looks very handmade, I wanted the love from whoever created her to be preserved and kept alive into the future. Again, no idea who originally made her, or any information at all.

Swoop
Listed September 24th, 2022

Bought in September '22 at an antique/vintage market, I scooped up Swoop because I had never seen a pterosaur beanie baby before. He has a loving home here.

Meow Wolf
Listed September 24th, 2022

Meow Wolf is a four-eyed Meow Wolf bought from Meow Wolf. I think they still make more of them!

Kyogre & Groudon
Listed September 24th, 2022

I bought these two off amazon without regard for if I was buying bootlegs or not. They have a lot of charm.

Catlas
Listed September 24th, 2022

Bought from Target. He has a surprising weight to him! Very chuckable, but I just keep him where I can look at him because i think his design is neat.

Round Cat
Listed November 3rd, 2022

Also from Target. Nice and round and easy to fit in a pocket!

Ghost
Listed November 3rd, 2022

Handmade, bought from a handmade craft consignment store in a dying mall. Excellent little creature. Didn't come with a tag or business card, though; all I know is that they were from the New Hampshire area, or possibly a nearby state.

Gifts

"From My Friends and Loved Ones"

Eraserhead Baby
Listed November 3rd, 2022

My friend Ben gave this to me! She got it for my birthday. Cradily is my favorite pokémon, and the only reason they weren't included in the first version of this page is because I forgot to grab them to take a picture, as they were in a Place of Honor. They were given the name Eraserhead Baby months after receiving, after noticing that they look like the Eraserhead baby.

Skipper
Listed November 3rd, 2022

My mom got this one for me after we saw the Penguins of Madagascar movie in theaters, hence the name.
